Suzy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working Couples Counseling Folsom California. She has her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. She is also the Director of The Place Within Folsom California Office, which provides counseling on a sliding fee scale. She has worked in the field of psychology since 1988. She has completed 75 hours of coursework in sex therapy and she has special training in working with couples (Emotionally Focused Therapy with Sue Johnson).
Suzy has tremendous respect for her clients who are committed to the counseling process for the purpose of improving their lives. She enjoys helping her clients gain the awareness required to make the changes needed to live the lives they desire. Suzy especially enjoys helping couples improve their communication, resolve conflict and improve their co-parenting.
Suzy has been married for 28 years and understands the ups and downs of a long term marriage. In her spare time, she loves running with her dog, snow skiing, and is enjoying being an empty nester to her 3 children.
