John M. Warrington, Ph.D.
There are three things I am passionate about…
- Helping people who have experienced trauma from harassment or humiliation from religious groups.
- Helping gay men (coming out, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and internalized homophobia)
- Helping people manage their anger before it controls them.
I am a native of England and hold dual British and U.S. citizenship having lived in the United States for over twenty years during which time I have gained considerable experience working with young people in colleges and high schools as well as an adult population. I have a Master’s and Doctoral degree in clinical psychology as well as degrees in Divinity and English Literature.
My areas of specialty include anxiety and mood disorder (including bipolar disorder), therapy with teens and adolescents, working with the gender and sexual identity and issues involving spiritual and religious matters, especially religious trauma.
It is essential that you have a good fit with your therapist. If, when you call, you think I might be right for you I will offer you a free face-to-face consultation for you to get a feel for how we might work together. If we are not a good fit I will try to refer you to someone with whom you feel more comfortable and who might meet your needs more perfectly.
