He holds certifications in all 3 areas. He has studied mindfulness meditation, cognitive behavior therapy [holds a doctorate in this area] and Eriksonian Hypnosis. He has served as a Supervisor of special Education, an Assistant Principal and a Clinical Director for a school based day treatment facility during his 38 year tenure in the Connecticut School Systems.

His approach to psychotherapy has integrated the wisdom of both Eastern/Western philosophies with a recognition of the essence or spirit within each of us. His approach is directed at helping each of his clients regain connection to that spirit within. He believes that painful life events have obscured that inner essence. His work is directed at helping his client’s learn to release the burdens and memories that are responsible for obscuring one’s inner essence, resulting in the presence of symptoms.

He works with each client, in a specially designed and collaborative approach that invites a partnership with goals designed by the client. Dr. Levine’s work with clients has evolved beyond “traditional talk therapy”.
