The Bravo Effect® is a specific framework for cultivating and sustaining relationships. It is for individuals, couples, families, and groups in which interpersonal interaction is expected. The Bravo Effect provides the framework for developing authentic relationships and empathic regulation. It is based on 3 foundational beliefs and 5 core components. Because the model is all encompassing, it is applicable to individuals, families, groups, and systems. When the 5 core components are in flow with one another, there is evidence of intrinsic regulation and balance. When they are out of flow, there is disregulation or disharmony. The model offers 7 integrating tools that are designed to get you back in flow and back to balance and harmony.
3 Foundational Beliefs:
- We learn through DOING: Mastery is crucial to the learning process.
- We retain through FEELING: Our feeling about an experience shape our mindset.
- We transform through BEING: Intentional Awareness is how we grow from experiences.
The 5 Core Components: Each component has a very specific function that is integral to successful interpersonal development. When these 5 core components are in sync they evoke sustained change, streamlined assimilation of new skills, and mastery.
The 5 core components are:
- Behavior is the outward expression of our internal harmony/disharmony.
- Relationship is the result of how we engage through connection both with others and ourselves.
- Attitude embodies how we approach our challenges.
- Value encompasses our worldview as it relates to what we desire, how we see and are seen, and what compels us to evolve.
- Optimism is our impression of hopefulness and enthusiasm as we evaluate our future life’s course.
