I received my Master’s degree in Community Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sam Houston State University and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University. I am licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I was trained at the Houston Galveston Institute in Collaborative practices. Collaborative therapy focuses on the value of the conversation as a tool for growth and understanding. I previously worked at an out-patient hospital working with clients experiencing persistent mental health issues. I have also volunteered at Houston Area Community Center working with women who are overcoming substance abuse. I’ve worked in private practice for 2 years in the Cypress, Texas area and I now work in my own practice in Houston, Texas. I am passionate about helping others find new ways to change their lives.
